In the contemporary economic environment, employees have become a critical resource for many organisations. It is said that nothing will happen unless people make it happen. Technological developments and the growing importance of service industry have caused organisations to compete for employees with scarce competencies. Attracting and retaining qualified employees by fostering a positive psychological contract has become a major challenge for human resource professionals.
Here comes the concept ‘Psychological Contract’. What is psychological mean? What is the difference between the psychological contract and the legal contract? What is the role it plays in the employment relationship? Would it result in positive effect or negative effect? How to foster a positive psychological contract? Before introduce the ‘Psychological contract’, we will have to mention the legal contract and its relevant statements. This report will give a general idea of above mentions.
