The world of management always let hundred of flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thoughts contend. The essence of oriental management is “Govern oneself as well as govern and serve others. Heart-government is superior.” There are so many classical theories in the history. Tao the chin is a shining example. It is not excessive to call this theory as china’s ancient history of philosophy’s main force. Containing only about 5,000 characters, The Book of Tao and Teh covers subjects comprehensively ranging from philosophy, history, politics, ethics, to cultivation of man’s mind. Philosophy is the chief concern of Lao Tzu’s thought. Centering around that core, Taoism is systematically constructed with four integral parts: 1) the Tao as the ontological being; 2) the Tao as the dialectic law; 3) the Tao as the epistemological tool; 4) the Tao as a practical guide to worldly affairs. |
