This article is aiming to analyze Strategic Management through the case study of “Building Excellence at STMicroelectrovics”, and to give practical suggestion for an assumed Chinese beer manufacturer. It assumes that the beer maker is a middle sized, privately owned company which has a headcount of 1000 employees and with annual sales of $5m. Its marginal profit is low because of the high competition of the industry. The boss is planning to improve its competition standard through strategic management.
