P53基因是机体中十分重要的抑癌基因，其异常表达导致肿瘤的发生 、发展，并影响临床诊断及治疗。本文就P53 基因的研究进展作一综述。肿瘤的发生演变是一个有赖基因调控的过程，P53基因也因其特殊的抑癌作用倍受研究者的关注。P53作为“人体卫士”在维持基因组稳定中发挥着重要作用，其基因突变或异常表达往往导致癌变。近年来P53研究一直为医学生物学研究的中心课题之一，并冠以“明星分子”的称谓，科技工作者希望从 P53基因的研究中进一步探求癌症发生机理并寻找一条有效的抑癌途径，为肿瘤的治疗开辟新的天地。
