This paper presents a survey on the differences and developments of the words meaning.
Language, as a tool for communication, must clearly and accurately express the meaning of its speaker. Hence, the word, which is the basic unit of the language, must be given a fixed and accurate meaning to avoid confusion. However, when a word is translated from one language to another, one of the most commonly met problems is that the meaning sometimes varies. Obviously this problem will cause misunderstanding and confusion.
It is due to this reason that the author raises the notion of the differences and developments of the words meaning.

这篇论文主要研究了语义的不同和发展。作者认为当一个单词在从一种语言被翻译成另外的一种语言时，它的意思通常会发生一些变化。这是由跨文化交流，误解以及曲解的发生所导致的，正因为如此，作者提出了语义的变化与发展这个观点。为了能够科学的对这个领域进行研究，作者使用了“语义区分测验”和“变化统一分析”两种方法作为研究方法。
通过使用这两中方法，作者得出如下结论：首先，语义随文化不同而不同；其次，即使是相同的文化背景，语义由于文化的发展依旧存在差异；最后，作者发现语言对文化和人类所起的作用在于它作为一种文化对人类的影响的工具，同时，它也是人类发展他们文化的一种方法。
