I. Recreation Spaces
“Recreation” can mean different things to different people. For some it may be used with the concept of “leisure”, in fact recreation may have a range of functions: they may be relaxing or energetic; they may foster social, cultural or creative developments for individuals or for groups. So recreational spaces are for these fuctions such as parks, zoos, gardens and streets where people can use their spare time in order to gain entertaiment and happinesses.
Towns and cities are major recreational areas, and it would be supported on the basis of three aspests. Firstly, most of people live with urban areas. According to the Central Statistical Office(1994), “In England and Wales, approximately 76 percent of the population resided in towns and larger metropolian areas and although the precise share of the population that is urban by residence will vary from country, the numerical dominance of urban over rural populations is consistent throughout the developed world.” Secondly..... |
