   Abstract (XXX)
   Computer network technology and campus network have become more popular, which provide a good foundation for information management. The use of computer technology and the Internet for examination on line is better than that of labor management. With the ever-increasing of examination types and the improving of examinations required , the workload of teachers will become more and more and the work will be a very cumbersome and very error-prone things. The use of computer and network technology to achieve online exam will solve these problems.
   “examination on line system” is a software system that takes convenient for teachers’ teaching and students’ testing. It can greatly improve the efficiency of the work of teachers and reduce the workload. It also can test students’ situation of Knowledge from different aspects. so it is necessary to develop examination on line system adapted to the new situation.
   The main function of the system including: user registration, change user information, examination on line, course information management, sets of problems information management, exam topics management and so on.
   This system is based on Browser/Server mode, employing dreamweaver and eclipse software, combining JSP programming technology, regard Microsoft SQL server 2000 as the database and using JDBC driver to join the database in windows XP system.
