1、 Abstract
This thesis analyses the personality of the characters in the play A Streetcar Named Desire that is Tennessee Williams' 1947 Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The characters include Blanche, Stanley and Stella. This article clarifies everyone’s special feature and the conflict between these figures. As Blanche often lives in the illusion, not reality, the conflict in the play also can be regarded as the discrepancy between ideal and reality. Some dialogues from the play are embodied in this paper to illustrate the personality.
