Abstract
This paper intrduces the history, the rebirth, the development and the application of Chinese Knotting Arts and the methods of tie Chinese Knotting. It is hoped that it can provide some useful information for our readers. Chinese knotting, with its classic elegance and ever-changing variations, is both practical and ornamental and fully reflects the grace and profundity of Chinese culture.

1.Introduction
Much interest has been expressed in recent year in Chinese Knotting. Before I could understand the necessary components of a good knotting cord, I had to learn how to knot. Furthermore, I needed to learn how each knot treated a cord. Did the knot add twist as it was tied? Did the knot a braid the cord as it was tied? Did the knot hold its shape? By what it express profound meanings.

In order to gain this experience, I took part in a Chinese Knot class at an Adult School. ......
