   Abstract
   Vocabulary is central to language and of crucial importance to the language learners. College English learners often encounter difficulties in it. However, it has been becoming increasingly apparent that learners need to build up a large vocabulary through employing a variety of strategies that are suitable for their own learning. This thesis firstly explores the difficulties in word learning, and then discusses some effective strategies of vocabulary acquisition for college learners so as to facilitate them with appropriate strategies to enlarge vocabulary.

   摘 要
   词汇是语言的核心,对语言学习者至关重要。大学生在词汇学习中经常遇到困难。然而,很明显,大学生需要采取各种各样适合自身的词汇策略来扩大词汇量。本文首先分析了大学生在词汇学习中的困难,接着讨论了一些对大学生行之有效的词汇习得策略以方便他们运用合适的策略来扩大词汇量。
