   Abstract
   Nowadaysasawayofpropagantingandtransmittinginformation,advertisinghaspenetratedintoeverycornerofourlifeasitstransmittingmediainmanyforms:newspaper,magazine,TV,radioaswellasnetwork.Itisbothaneconomicalactivitypromotingproductsandservices,andacultureconveyor,whichhasgreatinfluenceonourlifestyleandconsumptionhabits.WiththeentryofChinaintoWTO,lotsofforeignproductspourintoChinesemarketandcompetewiththehome–madeproducts.Inaddition,weneedimproveourexternaltradeandexpendtheforeignmarkettoo.Asaninterculturalmarketingandpromotionundertaking,internationaladvertisingtranslationisnotjustatransformationbetweendifferentlanguages,butinvolvesdifferenttraditions---laws,religionsandeconomies,etc.Anyadvertisementwillfailtoachieveitsobjectiveifitonlytranslatesintothetargetlanguagewithouttheabovefactorsbeingtakenintoaccount.Undersuchinternationalandeconomiccircumstances,itisnecessaryforustonoticeandinvestigatethefeaturesofEnglishadvertising.ThepurposeofthispaperistoanalyzethelinguisticfeaturesandsociologicalfeaturesofadvertisingEnglish,inthehopeofhelpingcopywritersathomemarketsintheircreatingprocess.Beginningwiththenatureandinternalstructureofadvertising,thisthesisalsoexploresthedefinition,classification,andcomponentsofEnglishadvertisement.ThenitillustratesthecharacteristicsofEnglishadvertisement.
